A Straight Smile is a Healthy One

A straight smile from LifeSmiles by Randy Mitchmore DDS keeps your teeth and gums healthy. They stay healthy because straight teeth are much easier to take care of because they are easier to brush and floss. Straight teeth are also less likely to decay.

In addition, a straight smile boosts your confidence and just makes you feel good about yourself.

A Straight Smile with Invisalign®

Invisalign® is the oldest and most respected system on the planet for a straight smile. With Invisalign® you don’t have to worry about wires and brackets and you don’t have to worry about a nasty accident with one of those wires either.

Unfortunately conventional braces have a tendency to break. When that happens, your cheek or tongue could puncture causing extreme pain. In addition to breakages, old school wires and brackets can sometimes cause permanent damage from the brackets.

With Invisalign® you don’t have to worry about any damage to your teeth because the system is removable.

A Removable System for Straight Teeth

If you and Dr. Mitchmore agree that Invisalign® is a good fit for straight teeth, your teeth will be prepped for aligners. Depending on your blueprint you may receive between 11 and 31 sets of aligners.

You will wear your aligners for 22 hours every day. This is extremely important. If you don’t stick to your prescription you won’t have the results that you had hoped for.

The only time you will remove your aligners is when you brush and floss your teeth and have something to eat.

One of the best things about Invisalign® for straight teeth is convenience. You can still enjoy the foods you like without worrying about wires and brackets. Unfortunately some foods are off limits for people who wear conventional braces.

Straight Teeth in Less Time

LifeSmiles by Randy Mitchmore DDS explains that most patients see results with Invisalign® in about 12 to 18 months. However, some people have straight teeth in as little as 6 to 9 months. It all depends on the patient.

Sometimes it takes two years to complete treatment for straight teeth. In addition people with conventional wires and brackets may have to wear a retainer for an additional year as well.
